Semplici: 'Need perfect SPAL'

SPAL already held Lazio earlier this season and Coach Leonardo Semplici warns it’ll take “the perfect performance” to do it again.

It kicks off at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

Their Week 1 encounter at the Stadio Olimpico ended 0-0, one of only two Serie A games this season in which Lazio failed to score.

“Lazio are a very strong team and proved already they can beat anyone over 90 minutes, as they conquered the Juventus Stadium,” said Semplici in his Press conference.

“We need the perfect performance, one of focus and character, with that little bit of luck that we have at times been missing.”

There’s an injury crisis that has ruled out Sauli Vaisanen, Pa Konate and Marco Borriello, while Filippo Costa, Sergio Floccari and Bartosz Salamon are not fully fit either.

On top of all that, captain Luca Mora is suspended in midfield.

“The January transfer window will without doubt change the cards on the table for the race against relegation, but we are determined to put three clubs behind us in the table and win that particular Scudetto.”

SPAL squad for Lazio: Gomis, Marchegiani, Meret, Poluzzi; Cremonesi, Della Giovanna, Felipe, Oikonomou, Salamon, Vicari; Bellemo, Costa, Grassi, Lazzari, Mattiello, Rizzo, Schiattarella, Schiavon, Vitale, Viviani; Antenucci, Bonazzoli, Floccari, Paloschi
